Here it is: our completed dining room! I'm very pleased with how it turned out.
In my last post I mentioned that I was nervous about the tablecloth blending into the wall. I think the curtains help but I also decided to swap the chairs with our bench. Do you like it?
The bench has had a long history. We used it as a coffee table in our old place and before that it was my father's. Before that, who knows. It's not especially attractive on its own nor very comfortable.
Joann's is having a winter sale where we got a few cushion pads 50% off. So I grabbed some fabric from my stash and whipped up this pad. My Mr thinks we should get some velcro to secure it but for now it's just floating there. Not half bad for an afternoon's work!
