19 Weeks!

Holy cow! Where has the time gone? Sorry to have not posted in so long!
In my defense, the past few weeks have been pretty busy. Yesterday the Mr, got home from school to find me asleep in bed, where he kindly left me until dinner was ready at 5. I feel like one spoiled gal!

Anyhoo, since my last post I've had both a midwife appointment and *drum-roll please!* ...our first sonogram! I think a picture says a thousand words so here you go:

We also got a video which was super cool. No word on the sex (as planned) but everything looks great. Son to come, as promised, will be the results on Old Wives Tales to predict gender! I will throw in that the ultrasound tech used the wand to jostle my tummy a few times in an attempt to get Rabbit to roll over for a better picture of the heart and as if to prove that this is my child, Rabbit stubbornly refused. I have to admit to laughing when she started jabbing me with that wand. When she said "I'm going to try to get the baby to roll over" that was not what I was expecting! She wasn't too amused and sternly told me that laughing made her job harder. You'd think she has a pretty low stress job and gets to show people their babies all day. Seems fun to me! So why she was so grumpy is beyond me. 

My Veteran's Day was spent making Rabbit's room a little cuter. Mr. finished painting the walls for me! We hit up an awesome sale at Joann's and scored all this plus notions. I made a shopping cart cover with the fabric at the bottom of the stack. I'd share a picture of the finished product but it kind of just looks like a blob without a shopping cart seat holding it up. I also made some curtains with a sheer, light yellow fabric I found at Goodwill for $1. (If you sew and haven't discovered this yet, go check out your local Goodwill for fabric. The selection is obviously limited but  I've gotten 3 yds before for only $2!) The rest of the fabric pictured is for sheets, a tri-colored dust ruffle and   matching rail guard (the red, yellow, blue and white). I don't know what I'll do with the top two prints but they were too cute and cheap to pass up! Any ideas? The yellow is a little over 3 yds of home decor fabric (maybe to cover cushions for my rocking chair) and the red is 2 yds of flannel.
